These terms govern your use of the Yawa: Weather & Radar app and the website yetanotherweather.app, both provided by Dario Digregorio Apps, Kirchbachstr. 28, 83024 Rosenheim, Germany (see the Imprint). By downloading or using the app you accept them.
The terms of the store you downloaded the app from apply alongside these terms. Where they conflict for a purchase made through a store, the store's terms govern that purchase.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use Yawa on devices you own or control, for private use.
You may not copy, resell or sublicense the app, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law permits, or use its name, logo or artwork outside the app without permission. The app and all rights in it remain with Dario Digregorio Apps and its licensors.
Apple-specific terms
For the iOS version, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement applies to everything these terms do not address: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
Apple is not a party to these terms. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Yawa, and any claim relating to the app — including product liability, a failure to conform to legal requirements, or a third-party intellectual property claim — is the responsibility of Dario Digregorio Apps, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Free and Pro
Yawa is free to use. The free version offers up to 5 saved places, forecasts up to 48 hours and 8 days, and the OpenWeatherMap data source.
Yawa Pro is a subscription and adds: up to 20 saved places, hourly forecasts up to 96 hours, additional weather sources (Apple WeatherKit, Google Weather, Rainbow.ai), the high-resolution Rainbow radar, all home screen widget sizes, and hourly background refresh for widgets.
Which features belong to which tier can change as the app develops; you will be told about material changes to Pro before they take effect.
Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by the App Store or Google Play, in the currency and at the price shown there at purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancellation is done in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in Yawa, and takes effect at the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- If a payment fails, Pro stays active for a grace period of up to 7 days while the store retries.
- Restore purchases in Settings → Account re-activates an existing subscription on a new device or after a reinstall, as long as you use the same store account or are signed in to the same Yawa account.
- Refunds are handled entirely by Apple and Google under their own policies. Dario Digregorio Apps cannot grant or refuse them.
- Price changes are announced by the store in advance; you can cancel before they take effect.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. By starting to use Pro immediately after purchase, you expressly consent to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that you thereby lose that right (§ 356(5) BGB). The withdrawal is in any case processed by the store that sold you the subscription.
Weather data: what it can and cannot do
Forecasts, radar images and weather alerts come from third-party providers. They are estimates and can be wrong, delayed or missing.
Do not rely on Yawa for decisions where safety depends on the weather — aviation, boating, mountaineering, construction, or reacting to severe weather. Always follow the official warnings of your national weather service; where they differ from what Yawa shows, the official warning is the one that counts.
Data belongs to the respective providers and is used under their licences; the attributions and licences are listed in Settings → About → Licenses.
How you may use the service
Please do not: call Yawa's backend outside the app, scrape or resell its data, circumvent App Check, entitlement checks or the tier limits, or generate automated bulk requests. Access may be blocked if you do.
Availability and changes
Yawa is a small independent project, provided as is and without a guaranteed level of availability. Features, weather providers and the supported operating system versions may change, and the app or individual features may be discontinued — with reasonable notice where a paid feature is affected. If Pro is discontinued entirely, running subscriptions end and are refunded pro rata by the store.
Liability
Dario Digregorio Apps is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act.
In cases of slight negligence, liability arises only from the breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of this agreement possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely ("cardinal obligation"), and is then limited to foreseeable damage typical for this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded.
This does not alter the burden of proof to your disadvantage, and your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
Applicable law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform ceased operation on 20 July 2025. Under § 36 VSBG: Dario Digregorio Apps is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the app or the law changes. The current version always lives at this address; material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use Yawa after a change means you accept the updated terms.
